There are so many things to look forward to during the month of July. Not only is it the first full month of summer vacation, but it is also National Ice Cream Month!
A delicacy that was originally enjoyed by the elite, ice cream has been a favorite dessert for Americans since the 1700s. According to IceCream.com, 87 percent of Americans have ice cream in their freezer at any given time and the average individual enjoys 48 pints of ice cream each year!
We know that there are endless “National Months” and “National Days” to partake in nowadays, but National Ice Cream Month is one of the first (and in our opinion, one of the best). This event was declared by President Ronald Reagan in 1984, and he stated that the month should be celebrated with “appropriate ceremonies and activities.”
And what better way to celebrate this delicious commemoration than by visiting Hilliards Chocolate’s Easton Ice Cream Parlor? Our shop boasts homemade ice cream, waffle cones and sauces, all of which make the experience extra appetizing.
Some of our favorite gourmet flavors include Chew Cashew Turtle Soup, Coffee Brownie Madness and Vanilla Toffee Crunch, but there really is no wrong option. This July, stop in to try them all out at 316 Main Street (Rte 138) in North Easton, Massachusetts.
