Fresh, creamy and full of flavor, fudge is one of our absolute favorite confections. And because we know that our customers love eating homemade fudge just as much as we love making it, Hilliards Chocolates is hosting our annual fudge sale once again!
With endless flavor combinations and a rich, creamy texture, there is so much to love about fudge. It is an American candy staple that has been around since the mid-1800s, as well as one of the first candies created here at Hilliards. Our family recipes and cooking techniques have been passed down from generation to generation for more than 90 years, keeping the fudge making process a heartfelt, homemade one.
Cooked in copper kettles, our fudge is stirred by hand with wooden paddles using only the freshest of ingredients and our original family recipe. Classics like chocolate fudge, penuche, peanut butter and sea salt caramel are always available, but we will also have some of your seasonal favorites such as mudslide and some new this year specialty flavors popping up throughout the annual sale. Two of the new flavors to look for are Brownie Sundae and Hawaiian Luau.
Wonder what exactly penuche is? Penuche fudge is an old fashioned fudge style made from a brown sugar based recipe. This was founder Jessie Hilliard’s favorite candy. We highly recommend you try it if you never have enjoyed this flavor before!
An event that takes place from July 1st to 31st, the annual Fudge Sale is the perfect opportunity to celebrate the classic chocolate fudge, and explore more unique melt-in-your-mouth flavors like sea salt caramel and peanut butter. It is a great summer treat to bring to any cook-out or beach party.
